Dreamweaver III: Advanced CSS, AJAX , PHP and MySQL using Web Standards

This course will focus on the advanced level Dreamweaver usage for a web standards compliant Web site Development. We cover topics such as Form Process with PHP, form client side form Validation with Spry using Adobe’s Spry JavaScript frameworks, the use of Spry for object effect like fade, shake, and slide. You will learn to Dreamweaver to setup spry components like tabbed panels, and accordion widgets and tooltips.  We will advance CSS with JavaScript to set up a Spry Menu Bars. In this class, you learn about the server-side programming using PHP and MySQL (database) inside of Dreamweaver.  Creating   PHP includes files to turn your static pages into a Dynamic Web Site in less time.  After creating Database input, Update and delete forms and User Authentication tests, all while keeping a user centered design, you will have finished your first web apps.

Exploring both, the Adobe Spry JavaScript Framework and jQuery JavaScript Frameworks, we will add some interactive elements to your static web pages while maintaining accessibility with progressive enhancement strategies.  You will be surprised by the ease of use that results from employing such as JavaScript libraries in the WYSIWYG environment of Dreamweaver.

Topic include: On day one, we will have a fast-paced review on creation of a site using (X)HTML and CSS in Dreamweaver by laying out a 3 column basic site. The main focus of this course is on Clean Code, Advanced CSS, JavaScript, PHP and MySQL inside of Dreamweaver CS4.

Also included is Best Practice for web design, Web Standards, Section 508 – accessibility  checklists, CSS Sprites, creating a style guide, Creating Print only style sheet,  Form Styling , Form  Processing  with  both, client-side server – side form validation with JavaScript and PHP, Spry Dynamic animation effects, widgets/components (i.e. tab panels, menus, and accordion panel) .
